Hygene and Your Mobile Phone

A recent UK study has discovered that mobile phones may harbour up to 18 times more bacteria than toilets.

The consumer magazine Which, tested a selection of 30 different mobile phones to determine how much bacteria they contained. Of those 30, seven were covered in high levels of environmental bacteria. This could act as a breeding ground for other bugs. One of those seven was actually harbouring faecal coliforms. This could have given any user some serious outcomes, such as stomach cramping or worse.

It seems that the typical mobile phone contains 18 times more bacteria than a flush on a men’s toilet.
