February 23 2014 – New Privacy Legislation and the Commonwealth Bank’s NFC sticker

Yes, that’s right, everybody’s heard about the new national privacy legislation that’s scheduled to come into play on March 12, right?

What’s that? You haven’t? Not a problem: Tha Gadget Grill’s producer, Gary Stark, has been able to spend some time with AVG’s Michael McKinnon who explains it all.

We also look at the NFC sticker that the Commonwealth Bank has just brought out. At $3, it’s pretty cheap, but most phones already have this capability, and it seems that it’s a lot of trouble to actually use. That’s why it’s our useless gadget for the week.
