On this show, we’ll be taking a look at exactly what viral video is and even play a song from one viral video.

All of that plus news about Facebook privacy concerns, new phones from HTC poised to take on the iPhone, where bicycles meet technology in New York City, and a whole bunch of new and surprising music to get you in the whole gadgety spirit. Ok, we’re kidding about that. Music doesn’t do that. Gadgets do.

We also gave away another pair of headphones this week, so if you missed out, make sure to tune in next Sunday at 9pm to go in the running for another prize!

But if digital TV surprised you, the move to digital radio might not enter your wavelength.

On this show, we’re aiming to change all of that because we’re talking about digital radio in Australia. If you’ve ever heard of DAB+ and wanted to know about it, sit tight because we’re talking to someone who knows more than we do about this.

And with an election coming up, it would be pretty strange of us not to tackle technological issues that each of the major parties are talking about… so we will!

All of this plus a whole bunch of news, a whole bunch of fun music you won’t find on a Top 40 station, and the opportunity to win a digital radio (although, being that the show is over, you’ll have to wait until next Sunday at 9pm).

Made from 12,500 plastic bottles – the same sort you get when you buy a soft drink or bottle of water - this boat managed to make its way from San Francisco to Sydney. We’ll hear from the people on that expedition as well as our own Gadget Gorilla Gary Stark who checked it out this past week.

We’re also looking at the future of internet security. That’s right people: it ain’t going away. From your phone to your computer, security is moving forward in ways you’ll have to hear to believe.

There’s also a bunch of news, random jokes, new music, and something about an island.

And if you missed our competition, make sure you tune in next week!

We’ve also started giving away some headphones with a pair of T-Jays Two headphones going to one lucky listener. <itunes:summary>This week on The Gadget Grill, we're looking at toys and their stories.

Okay, that's probably not quite right. What we are looking at is how Australians are changing their habits with video games, something that is happening as families begin to gather around the Wii instead of the board game that used to occupy after dinner time.

We're also taking a look at the Sony NEX 3, a new camera that we're liking quite a lot. There's also news, some great music, and a bunch of other stuff. Plus, stay tuned because in the next few weeks we'll be letting you win stuff.

On this episode of The Gadget Grill, we’ll be talking about ideas you can grab from the tech & game world that work as last minute gift ideas. Stay tuned for some great tips on how to best spend your bucks!

We’re also road-testing a new mobile internet device from Virgin & Huawei that lets you connect to the web while on the go and connect more people to your connection.

Plus a whole new waterworld, your privacy rights at work, issues with LED traffic lights, the reinvention of the wheel, the gold-plated super expensive Nintendo Wii, plus a whole bunch more. This could only be The Gadget Grill!

Being a few days before Christmas, we made sure all the songs on this show were in the Christmas spirit… though they’re the Christmas song you’ve probably never heard before. Take a peek below at our Christmas playlist:

We’ll also get Snoop Doggy Dogg to guide our cars, find out how to make an invisibility cloak a complete and utter waste of money, and interrupt Facebook with our own wedding tweets.

Security is everywhere these days. It’s in our phones, our computers, and more than ever we need to be careful exactly what we do when we’re online. From Facebook to MySpace to Twitter to everything else, we’re more trustful than ever which is why we here at The Gadget Grill have prepared our biggest security show yet.

We’ve done enough of these things to know that this show is just as important as the others because today we have two experts talking to us about what’s happening in security.

Plus we’ve got news about converting crap to energy (oh yes, it really is what it sounds like), NASA create an almost Star Trek-like tricorder for the iPhone, water on the moon, Windows Mobile Marketplace hacked just as the iPhone was with its own little virus.

All of that and… IT’S LEIGH’S (the host of The Gadget Grill) BIRTHDAY… and you can guess he’s not going to let this recording go by without some cake. Lots of cake. Be there for the cake. Listen for the cake… and the radio show. That’s good too.

The music on this show was a mix of New Orleans and a couple of other bits. If you likes any of it, we’ve got the playlist down below:

Frou Frou – Close Up (from “Breathe In”)

Crowded House – Fall At Your Feet (from “Woodface”)

Dumpstaphunk – Meanwhile… (from “Listen Hear”)

Los Hombres Calientes – Latin Tinge II (from “Vol. 5: Carnival”)

Christian Scott – Died In Love (from “Live At Newport”)

Next week, we’re all about making computers easier for the older generation. Join us next week if you’ve ever wanted to set your grandma or grandpa up with a computer!
