Friday last, July 31, was a full moon. Not just a full moon, but the second full moon for the month, which makes it a blue moon. Consequently, the first song was exactly that: The Marcels, Blue Moon
August 2 was also the birthday of Garth Hudson from The Band, and during the week a story emerged about issues affecting Android phones and tablets, due to the a vulnerability in the Stagefright library used in the Android media player. Putting 1 and 1 together, we always seem to come up with three, and so we were able to play The Band doing Stage Fright as our second musical piece.
