On Thursday of this week, Australian courts placed a ban on the sales and distribution of a jailbreak dongle for Sony’s PS3. The ban remains in place until this Tuesday, when a further hearing of the case is scheduled.
I’ll be quit interested to see how this one is resolved. We should remember that it’s only been a few weeks since the US courts ruled that jail breaking of the iPhone was legal, and was more of a very minor copyright issue rather than a hardware one.
